      UPDATE: 4:30 4/9 Nancy released from jail on $250 bond.  Nancy is in high spirits but reports deplorable conditions at the jail – 13 women are being held in Hughes county in a cell designed for four.

ALLEN, OK – Tuesday, April 9, 2013, 9:00 AM – Oklahoma grandmother Nancy Zorn, 79, from Warr Acres, has locked herself to a piece of heavy machinery effectively halting construction on TransCanada’s Keystone XL toxic tar sands pipeline.     1. I think what she did is cool. They had an oil spill that has devastated an entire community forcing people out of their homes… The entire neighborhood is now poisoned beyond reasonable repair. The company is hushing it up.

      1. Oh I doubt ‘reasonable repair’ is true at all. The environmental groups lie far more egregiously, and often, than oil companies do. Granny, I have no doubt whatsoever, was protesting out of sheer ignorance after being misled.

        Not to mention, granny was tied to NEW construction of the Keystone pipeline… The new pipeline will be safer and newer than any older pipeline in existence and certainly better and safer than having oil bought and shipped overseas. She was blocking something that will make the transportation of oil safer for the environment.
